			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<blockquote><p>The realization that something is not as you want it to be is an important first step, but once you have identified that, the faster you are able to turn your attention in the direction of a solution, the better, because a continuing exploration of the problem will prevent you from finding the solution. The problem is a different vibrational frequency than the solution—and all thoughts (or vibrations) are affected by (or managed by) the Law of Attraction.</p>

<p>This is why I focus so much on identifying what you do want and then living it in your mind and like the monthly manifestation group I meet with to end on that note.  In a <a title="Cash in a Flash" href="http://bit.ly/CIAF-twm" target="_blank">book</a> I&#8217;m reading at the moment, they call it &#8220;virtualizing&#8221; instead of &#8220;visualizing&#8221; as you want to experience it in your mind as if you are in the experience and living it completely, all senses plus emotions, not just watching a movie of it like you might do in visualizing.  It&#8217;s a technique I&#8217;ve used for a long time, but I love their name for it.</p>
<p>When you&#8217;re virtualizing, and can keep on daydreaming your end result and ignoring the negative feelings your current situation brings up, you&#8217;re on the way to changing your reality for the one you are imagining.</p>
<p>Experiencing in your mind the way you&#8217;d like your life to be and feeling those feelings and expecting it to be possible and even likely, creates a channel for it to travel down towards you.  You allow your dream to show you the first little step that you need to take to help make it happen (inspired action) from where you are, as well as orchestrating the people and resources for you to make it almost effortless to achieve your desired outcome.</p>
<p>Manifesting is 80% about getting the thoughts and feelings (and so, the vibration) right and only 20% about DOING to make it happen.</p>
<p>If it&#8217;s feeling too difficult, maybe you&#8217;re spending 80% on doing and 20% (or maybe none at all) on your thoughts and feelings, getting them to a place that is congruent with your dream or solution to your problem.</p>
<p>Abraham Lincoln is famously quoted as saying that if he had 8 hours to cut down a tree, he&#8217;d spend 6 of them sharpening his axe.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;re not feeling delighted and excited about every aspect of your life as you read this, take a moment to write down whatever it is you&#8217;re focusing on that is leaving you feeling scared, frustrated, sad, angry or insecure.  Then write down the opposite of that on a fresh piece of paper.  Burn the first paper &#8211; it has served it&#8217;s purpose and there&#8217;s no value in going over it again.  Now turn to the statement of what you do want.  Is it written in the first person, in the present tense?  Is it written positively (stating only what you want and not what you don&#8217;t want)? If you get too much inner resistance (from your critical inner voice) and aren&#8217;t feeling happy or excited about what you&#8217;ve written down, try writing it as &#8220;I choose &#8230;&#8221; or &#8220;Wouldn&#8217;t it be nice if &#8230;&#8221;</p>
<p>Now get comfortable, take a few deep breaths to relax and begin to daydream.  Get all your senses involved and really feel the emotion you expect to have in achieving this.  Freedom?  Peace?  Excitement?  Relief?  Amazement?  Passion? This is virtualizing it.</p>
<p>As you go about your day, come back to this daydream, flesh it out more, explore it and feel the feelings evoked by it.  When you encounter the contrast in your current situation (the one you wrote about and burnt), purposely take your attention off of it and slip into your daydream and those feelings instead, enjoy knowing that whatever you are currently experiencing is on it&#8217;s way out of your life and what is coming is worth feeling excited about!  And really begin to look out for the signs of inspired action that will be calling to you.</p>
<p>If you really get stuck in the negative feelings, I&#8217;d recommend using something like EFT to clear the feelings (<a href="http://bit.ly/BradYates" target="_blank">Brad Yates</a> is really fantastic and offers some wonderful free videos).</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I was watching Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and my husband said that, clearly Roald Dahl had no idea about the Law of Attraction as there was no way that Charlie would ever have found  the ticket as the preceding scenes had shown how very pessimistic he was and how stuck in disappointment and despair he and his family were.</p>
<p>But I explained how it was completely in line with Law of Attraction.</p>
<p>When Charlie experienced his huge desire to find a ticket and go into the chocolate factory, his Inner Being was immediately in alignment with that and expanded and had already created the reality of Charlie finding a golden ticket.  However, when Charlie believed that he wouldn&#8217;t or felt disappointed that he hadn&#8217;t when he opened his birthday chocolate, he was out of alignment with what his Inner Being already knew to be true.  Which is why he felt the negative feelings so strongly, the contrast was so huge, as his feelings were telling him that he wasn&#8217;t looking in the direction of his desire.<img class="alignright" title="Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" src="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/23/30823243_0c15e0f61b.jpg" alt="" width="239" height="203" /></p>
<p>All the Law of Attraction needed, was a very small window of allowing, to be able to manifest for Charlie the reality of his <strong>immense desire</strong> for what he wanted.  When he picked up the coin from the road, he immediately jumped from despair and disappointment to hope and that put him in a complete state of allowing so that he could receive his desire from Source and he found the golden ticket in the chocolate bar he bought with the coin from the pavement.</p>
<p>If you have an immense desire and you have been nurturing that desire and you can feel the strong contrast between where you are and where you wish to be, know that the negative feelings are simply showing you that you&#8217;re not focusing on what you want in your thoughts and self talk.  You need only to bring yourself into a state of allowing to give Source the possibility of manifesting your desire.  You need only to remove the doubt that it&#8217;s possible.</p>
<p>How are you feeling right now?  What are you thinking about right now?</p>
<p>Wouldn&#8217;t it be nice if &#8230;. you could be, do or have this thing you&#8217;re desiring?</p>
<p>Try listing the details of your dream, preceded by “Wouldn&#8217;t it be nice if &#8230;”</p>
<p>How does that feel?</p>
<p>Better I hope.</p>
<p>Wouldn&#8217;t it be nice if &#8230; hmmm &#8230; I&#8217;m off to do some allowing</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Law of Attraction is something you probably know a bit about by now and as you can tell, something that is really ringing my bell at the moment and cropping up in conversations in all parts of my life.  You&#8217;ve probably already heard that whether you believe in it or not, that it&#8217;s always working, which is why I think it&#8217;s so much better to work with it, intentionally, rather than just letting life happen, sometimes bringing great things with it and sometimes not.</p>
<p>Sometimes, all that you need, is a slight shift in perspective for what you&#8217;re looking at to make a whole load more sense.  When I need that kind of shift I usually turn to books or audios of some of inspirational mentors that have crossed my path in recent years.  I can see that they have already walked this road and are a bit further along the route than me, so I enjoy their perspective and know that, just as I help others out who&#8217;re walking the path I&#8217;ve already passed, my mentors help me miss some of the potholes and suggest less steep bits of the road to make my journey easier.<img class="alignright" title="photo by bredgur on Flickr" src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2379/2306188820_f075c92855.jpg" alt="" width="240" height="160" /></p>
<p>One of the mentors I spoke of before was Bob Proctor.  I first encountered him on The Secret, but over the years, I have really been drawn to his way of explaining things and later even found that some of my other favourite writers or speakers were his students too.  He has a few programs out, but one of my favourites is the Secret Science of Getting Rich.</p>
<p>Even as I write that, I wonder if the word &#8220;rich&#8221; has triggered a response for you like it did for me originally?  It&#8217;s based on a book by Wallace D Wattles and he writes:</p>
<blockquote><p>WHATEVER may be said in praise of poverty, the fact remains that it is not possible to live a really complete or successful life unless one is rich. No man can rise to his greatest possible height in talent or soul development unless he has plenty of money; for to unfold the soul and to develop talent he must have<br />
many things to use, and he cannot have these things unless he has money to buy them with.</p>
<p>A man develops in mind, soul, and body by making use of things, and society is so organized that man must have money in order to become the possessor of things; therefore, the basis of all advancement for man must be the science of getting rich.</p></blockquote>
<p>I came across a similar quote from Abraham-Hicks this week:</p>
<blockquote><p>You are right when you think, Money Isn’t Everything. You certainly do not need money to have joy in your experience. But in your society – where so much of what you live is tied to money in some way – most of you associate money with freedom and since freedom is a basic tenet of your being, coming into alignment with money will help you establish… a balanced footing that’ll be of value to you in all other aspects of your experience.</p></blockquote>
<p>And these two came hot on the heels of a discussion I&#8217;ve been having with some friends about wealth and so have had me thinking a lot about it.  It seems to me that when I have had little money and have been worrying whether or not I could pay the bills or buy groceries, that my world was a very small place where I didn&#8217;t feel expanded, when I was a more stressed parent and a less fun partner and not the best contribution to the world that I could be.  And when I have had an abundance of money available to me that the main difference was a sense of freedom.  Now I know that having money and freedom do not necessarily go hand in hand, but I do know that having a free flowing abundance of money in a world that operates on a financial basis gives you the choice.</p>
<p>One of the most important factors for me was also my flow <img class="alignright" style="border: 0pt none;" title="photo by dankulpinski on Flickr" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3059/2736816632_825f9835a0.jpg" alt="" width="200" height="302" />into an unschooling lifestyle.  It&#8217;s so important to me when I&#8217;m unschooling to be able to provide a learning rich environment and to be able to go out and see the world that we&#8217;re living in, not only learn about it from books or TV and I wanted to have the freedom to choose to follow a passion and choose what we want to experience because it interests us not only by what we can &#8216;afford&#8217;.  Of course we can be creative and resourceful with what we have, however much that is at any given time, and we are, (there&#8217;s a great post on that from Unschooling We Stand <a title="Unschooling We Stand" href="http://rainbowrivers.wordpress.com/2009/10/25/does-it-take-money-to-unschool/" target="_blank">here</a>) but I also include in my dream vision of our life trips to loads of other places in the world, hands on experiences and having the unlimited resources of materials, classes and more for what we each want to learn and enjoy.  Also, for us, it&#8217;s important to be able to have both parents involved so that our children see different ways of doing things as well as experience both of us following our own passions and interests so that our children can follow our example.  Not least of which is enjoying our children&#8217;s company, which seemed so unfair when only one parent could enjoy their best hours and their dad could only see them in the evenings and on weekends.</p>
<p>Over the years, I have found many programs running in my inner world and self talk about wealth, about an either/or type mindset (like either spiritual or rich, work hard or have fun, be the breadwinner or be with your children), judgements of wealthy people, &#8220;rules&#8221; about &#8216;honest&#8217; work for &#8216;honest&#8217; pay and loads of others that I have dismantled and am still doing so and I am truly greatful for some of the resources I have used along the way to give me a perspective from another angle than where I&#8217;m standing.  Some have shifted me just a little, and when I&#8217;ve come back to them again, <img class="alignleft" style="border: 0pt none;" title="Seasonal Wealth Report 2009" src="http://www.thesgrprogram.com/media/images/copy/seasonal-wealth-320.png" alt="" width="115" height="176" />I&#8217;ve been ready for bigger shifts, while some have simply blown me out of the water and a small detail has given me a huge breakthrough.</p>
<p>One of Bob Proctor&#8217;s students, Brian Wong has just released a special report and video called the Seasonal Wealth Report which you can access here: <a href="http://bit.ly/SeasonalWealthReport">Seasonal Wealth Report</a>.  It refers to the Law of Timing and is a bit sales-y overall, but it may just have a nugget that gives you a different perspective that could help you today if you&#8217;re feeling stuck.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve also added a video by Bob Proctor in the side bar, but feel free to post any questions or comments you have about the program, or wealth, or unjobbing or whatever else stirs you about this.  It&#8217;s something that&#8217;s got me fired up and I love talking about things like that while I can feel the energy flowing in that direction.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It&#8217;s been a while with no posts, longer than usual, because a lot of interesting discussions have been happening in my world offline that have had me pondering.  I could see how they all point to different aspects of the same subject, but I&#8217;ve been waiting for the various threads to knit together more coherently before I began writing about &#8230; The Law of Attraction.</p>
<h2>Tuning Fork</h2>
<p>For one thing, the Law of Attraction doesn&#8217;t work like a magnet, but more like a tuning fork.  That is, it doesn&#8217;t draw to you things that weren&#8217;t there before, but, based on what your vibration is, it sets off a resonance with people or events or things that are already around you with a similar vibration so that they are what you notice or interact with, rather than other things that also exist in your environment that you are not a vibrational match for.  If you want your world to be something different, then, rather than focusing on what is already visible to you in your reality that you don&#8217;t want and keeping your vibration a match to it,  you have to first change your vibration to what it is you are actually wanting to be, do or have.</p>
<h2>Re-Tune Your Dial</h2>
<p>To use another analogy (I am a big fan of analogies), if you are listening to a talk radio station but you&#8217;re not enjoying it and wish you were listening to some upbeat pop music instead, you wouldn&#8217;t expect the talk radio station to change and begin playing pop music, nor would you think that just because your radio was tuned to talk radio that that was all that you could listen to on this radio.  You know that the radio waves for what you want are also present in the room where you are and that you can simply re-tune your radio to the pop music signal and begin listening to pop music.  The talk radio waves and the pop music waves were both present all along, all you needed to do was shift your focus, tune your dial, to receive the one you wanted.</p>
<h2>You Are Accountable</h2>
<p>Your life is the same.  All that you wish to have in your life and all that you don&#8217;t are currently present.  Which you experience depends on what your vibration is.  You are accountable for what shows up in your life.  All of it.  That isn&#8217;t to be taken as &#8220;blame&#8221; either, which is a value judgement, stating that there&#8217;s something wrong with you because you have focused on what you don&#8217;t want (or by lack of intention failed to focus on what you do want) any more than you &#8220;blame&#8221; the radio for broadcasting talk radio when you want pop music.  Accountability simply means being willing to look at what you are currently doing, or have previously done, that has resulted in the circumstances you can now observe in your life (especially those that you no longer want to have show up) and using the tools out there to help you change your vibration so that you can be, do or have anything that you desire.</p>
<p><em>Albert Einstein defined INSANITY as: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.</em></p>
<h2>Change Your Vibration</h2>
<p>But, it&#8217;s not only doing the same thing over and over, which is in effect the final part of a bigger process that defines your vibration, it&#8217;s <strong>thinking </strong>the same things over and over, holding the <strong>images </strong>in your mind of the same thing over and over and feeling the same <strong>feelings</strong> over and over that create your vibration and lead you to repeat the words and actions that create more in your life of what you already have &#8211; even if that you say that you don&#8217;t want it!   The great thing I have learned over the last 10 years is that <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>any</strong></span> belief you have <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>ever</strong></span> created or that you have allowed others to create for you and that you have simply taken on as the truth (especially during childhood when you don&#8217;t have the filters to prevent your parents and others beliefs embedding in your subconscious), can be changed!</p>
<h2>Inspirational Mentors</h2>
<p>Some of my favourite mentors whose style and way of expressing these ideas in a way that spoke to me personally are Abraham-Hicks, Bob Proctor, Jack Canfield and Leslie Householder.  As I began changing my beliefs about health, relationships, money and pretty much any area you can think of, blocks really became highlighted. It&#8217;s the shared knowledge of these teachers, as well as other tools like EFT and the Abraham-Hicks processes that I&#8217;ve used to shift the blocks, that has changed everything in my life for the better.</p>

<img class="alignright" title="photo by db*photography on Flickr" src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2231/2336528544_12c8c64896.jpg" alt="" width="240" height="183" /> a huge taboo over it.  &#8220;Nice&#8221; people don&#8217;t get angry:  that&#8217;s the message I grew up with.  Instead of developing healthy ways of feeling and expressing anger, I was left hanging, feeling shame for feeling it and no reasonable way to deal with it.  When I eventually came across Louise Hay&#8217;s work on how specific diseases can be linked to the suppression of specific emotions, it made sense to me and gave me the motivation to acknowledge and work with my achilles heel, which was anger, but it took many, many years and a lot of healing to clear the backlog and learn to work with it as an ally in the present moment.</p>
<p>I love anger.  It&#8217;s a clear signal that something you are experiencing in the present is not in alignment with who you are and what you are wanting to create in your life.  It is a force, a huge rush of energy that you can use to make change, take action, improve yourself, but the key is to keep that emotional energy IN MOTION.</p>
<p>Abraham talk about the Emotional Guidance Scale* and how <img class="alignleft" title="photo by Freakazoid! on Flickr" src="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/147/347595308_e0512a7110.jpg" alt="" width="164" height="194" />hard it is to move instantly from a low state to a high state and especially, to maintain a higher state if you haven&#8217;t moved steadily through at least some of the stages of emotion in between &#8211; the difference in vibration is just too great.  It&#8217;s why you can feel on a such a rollercoaster of highs and lows when you start working with self development and spiritual ideas and why many people end up feeling inadequate or guilty that they haven&#8217;t maintained the peak experiences they felt when they were in a workshop or with someone who&#8217;s inspiring and uplifting to be with.</p>
<p>That steady progression needn&#8217;t take more than a few minutes but it can even take months or years depending on where you are in your personal journey and where you tend to steady out emotionally on a day-to-day basis (in the health field they call that your set point but you shift it with practise).  The fact is that many of us start off pretty low and may have gotten used to feeling depressed or powerless or insecure and so we need to feel angry because anger feels better than feeling powerless or depressed or scared.  The problem is that anger is not &#8216;allowed&#8217;.  People around you may prefer you to be in one of the lower states than moving into anger because anger is a BIG emotion and, especially if you haven&#8217;t had enough practise at owning it rather than directing at other people, it can be very uncomfortable to be around.</p>
<p>How often do you see parents pacifying their angry children, trying to get them to &#8216;quiet down&#8217; or people telling an angry person to calm down or pull it together?  If every time you reach anger, you&#8217;re sent back down to shame or powerlessness, it can be hard to feel the relief and freedom that lies just the other side of it in blame, or doubt or boredom, let alone hitting hopefulness, optimism or joy as your regular inner feeling.  Of course it&#8217;s useful to know how to &#8216;be angry&#8217; without directing anger &#8216;at&#8217; another person, but I should think that&#8217;s a whole other post for another day.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve noticed that, luckily, kids move through their Emotional Guidance Scale much more easily than us adults who&#8217;ve had the process hampered a little.  It can be really easy to help them to keep the energy in motion by simply allowing them to express themselves freely until they shift on their own, or by validating them by just stating what you see they&#8217;re feeling without judgement or adding to the drama of the situation.  However, sometimes they need a little more help, especially if they&#8217;ve already learned some less effective ways of coping from parents who are a work in progress, like me (raises her hand).  I like my children to have control over themselves, so rather than do any surrogate tapping for them, I prefer to show them how to do it for themselves so they can have a tool for life.</p>
<p>In line with that, here&#8217;s another video from Brad Yates and his adept assistant to help your child deal with anger.  EFT doesn&#8217;t deny the emotion, it just gets the energy flowing where it&#8217;s gotten &#8217;stuck&#8217; in a person&#8217;s &#8217;story&#8217; or field, freeing their way up the scale.</p>

<p>I get daily emails from a very vibrant speaker called Jennifer Hough.  She calls them daily S.O.U.L. (School of Unlimited Life) e-Awakenings and her intent is help you stay connected and share tools that teach you how to deliberately create abundance, joy and happiness in your life.</p>
<p>Today&#8217;s one resonated for me so I thought I&#8217;d share it here with you &#8230;</p>
<p>&#8220;Sometimes we get irritated when others (the media, your parents, politicians) come from a limited and controlling place.  You have 2 choices: stay irritated or take leadership for another possibility.&#8221;  J.Hough</p>
<p>Hey you.  We were in a media training course&#8230;..and today we had to look at our beliefs about media.  Much of what we all shared was about media being sensationalizing, negative and filled with disturbing news.  Kind of like some relationships where we feel disappointed that people are operating from fear and control.  It&#8217;s not your job to change the way people think&#8230;.or the way that media or politicians do their jobs.  However, you do have an opportunity to lead&#8230;.and leave the door open for another possibility for change and healing.  Can you feel that it&#8217;s possible?</p>
<h2>SOUL Whispers</h2>
<p>Media is not an entity&#8230;.people are the media.  Politicians are not an entity, people are politicians.  Well, if you are a person&#8230;and they are people&#8230;..then we can each individually, energetically or physically assist the paradigm to change.  You have the capacity to lead&#8230;&#8230;.with very little effort.  Simply by knowing something else is possible, you already have caused a shift.</p>
<h2>Let Go of the Oars</h2>
<p>Who and what can you give up being righteous about&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;to leave the door open for another possibility.  Hey, it beats the alternative!</p>

<h2>Just Five More Minutes</h2>

<p>While at the park one day, a woman sat down next to a man on a bench near a playground. &#8220;That&#8217;s my son over there,&#8221; she said, pointing to a little boy in a red sweater who was gliding down the slide.</p>
<p>&#8220;He&#8217;s a fine looking boy&#8221; the man said. &#8220;That&#8217;s my daughter on the bike in the white dress.&#8221;</p>
<p>Then, looking at his watch, he called to his daughter.  &#8220;What do you say we go, Melissa?&#8221;</p>
<p>Melissa pleaded, &#8220;Just five more minutes, Dad. Please? Just five more minutes.&#8221;</p>
<p>The man nodded, and Melissa continued to ride her bike to herheart&#8217;s content. Minutes passed and the father stood and called again to his daughter, &#8220;Time to go now&#8221;.  Again Melissa pleaded, &#8220;Five more minutes, Dad. Just five more minutes&#8221;.</p>
<p>The man smiled and said, &#8220;Okay&#8221;.</p>
<p>&#8220;My, you certainly are a patient father,&#8221; the woman responded.</p>
<p>The man smiled and then said, &#8220;Her older brother Tommy was killed by a drunk driver last year while he was riding his bike near here. I never spent much time with Tommy, and now I&#8217;d give anything for just five more minutes with him. I&#8217;ve vowed not to make the same mistake with Melissa. She thinks she has five more minutes to ride her bike. The truth is, I get five more minutes to watch her play&#8221;.</p>
<p>Life is all about making priorities.</p>
