Scaling Up And Scaling Down

Is this how I get the balance right?

Wow, that was a fun start to my blogging year!

I loved the pace to get me up and writing and inspired and even just generally getting my creative juices flowing!

And now that that’s been pretty successful for me, I have quite a few projects going at once .. and boy are they going!

So I have decided to scale back and stay with the challenge, but work along with the Weekly Post Challenge instead. I’ll aim to get a post out every Thursday, because it’s my least scheduled day of the week at the moment.

I am having a lot of fun offline! My business strategy is rolling out now as an actual plan and I should be up and running in a couple of weeks or so. In the meantime, I have a couple ofweb sites still on the go that will form part of my portfolio that I expect to be finished with over the next week to two.  Neither have been straightforward so far, so I hope that this next week will bring a smoother flow and completion!

On the home front, I’ve slowly started to get control of my home back from the chaos monsters who seemed to have taken over for a while (that’s imaginary monsters, not a reference to my children!).  With the business going, I think it’ll be more productive to get a cleaner in for a couple of hours here and there.  I’m not much of a domestic goddess outside of the kitchen, and with working on my business and spending more time going out with my children, it’s getting harder and harder for me to keep my house in a state that my mind feels free and creative when I’m in it.

We’ve also begun a new home ed group that’s a lot bigger than the ones I’ve been to before and I’m really enjoying the number of activities on offer and the wider pool of children for mine to play with, though being welcomed in is going a little slower on the child front than the adult one. The other group we started going to hasn’t quite proved itself yet and neither my children or I really fit in, though the activities are fun.  We’ll give it a little while and see if it gets better.

Their dad has finally started to see them on a more regular basis, once a week, on what we now call Daddy Day. Talking with my children the other day, we came up with the idea of a Mommy Day once a week too and my children already have a list of places they want to go to and things for us to do together – no mobile, no laptop, no work for the day, no boring chores, no errands, just a fun day together like we used to have a very long, long time ago, or when we went camping last year. I’m really looking forward to it.

And a few people have said they’d like to have my children over to hang out with them, so I feel pretty sure that I’ll be able to have a bit more structured space at least once or twice during the week to either recharge or to work on my business. Maybe even both! 🙂

Speaking of recharging, I am feeling pretty good on that front.  In part to doing the video that I’ll post after this last paragraph. I find EFT so effective, and I think that Brad is a master at it.  I’ve been working with the video most days for the past week and have found it deeply nurturing. Alongside that, I’ve also been taking an essence a friend sent me that has had some wonderful effects and just yesterday I went to see a shamanic practitioner to help me with some very deep and profound work that I am incredibly grateful for. All in all, this is a good time and I hope that, along with the weekly Challenge posts, that I’ll be here once in a while to add more of my day-to-day events too.

Here’s the video:

And I see that my reader numbers are up, which is wonderful, but still no comments. I’d really love to hear about what’s going on for you too, just generally or if something I wrote has inspired you or challenged you. Or even just to cheer me on! 😉

Till next week
