Staying In

I’d never been snowed in before this winter, but this is a question I can answer after this last one! We mostly did all the things we do every day when we stay home. That’s the joy of unschooling for us I suppose .. every day has a bit of work, a bit of play, a bit of stuff that ‘has’ to be done and a bit of following whatever interest has flashed on our radar.

Smiling

Ah, an easy topic today .. so much makes me smile .. and laugh! I have become a genuinely happy, positive person and I am so, so grateful for that fact and for the way I shine.

More Gained, Nothing Lost

When I first moved to the UK, I found this whole daylight savings thing traumatic. I went to sleep by the clock and I woke by the clock. I felt robbed of an hour either way. It wasn’t a good system, but one I was used to.

Unschooling Food

I haven’t anything to say about the fact that they’re watching kids TV that they enjoy while eating. Or about them using a spoon or whether they want to use their hands or suck the soup from the side of the bowl. We talk about the different contexts and what people expect from them if we’re at someone else’s house, or a restaurant and they adjust if they want to. But at home, is it important to ruin the simple pleasure of food with all these other rules?
